Throbber for firefox 0.8, Mozilla 1.5 and 1.6 ============================================= What is a throbber? A throbber is the nice little icon in your favourite browser placed on the upper right edge, normally displaying the Firefox/Mozilla logo. This icon can be replaced with this designer throbber. :-) Therefore the files: aktiv.gif inaktiv.gif userchrome.css have to be placed in the folder ...\profiles\default\xxxxxxxx.slt\chrome - that's all! The default path for this folder is on Win 9x/ME platforms German: c:\Windows\Anwendungsdaten\Mozilla\Profiles\default\.slt\chrome English: c:\Windows\Application Data\Mozilla\Profiles\default\.slt\chrome whereas Win2000/XP use German: C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\\Anwendungsdaten\Mozilla\Profiles\default\.slt\chrome English: C:\documents and settings\\Application Data\Mozilla\Profiles\default\.slt\chrome as default. Under win98 "ffthrob.exe" will do the job for you - extract the archive "ffthrob.zip" to a directory of your choice and execute "ffthrob.exe" - but make shure before, that there isn't already a file "userchrome.css" (normaly it isn't!). If you have created this file before, you must place the files manually in the approriate folder to avoid the existing "userchrome.css" being replaced. In this case, launch your favourite text editor and add the few new lines of "userchrome.css" at the end of your existing file. "ffthrob.exe" does not work on WinNT/W2k/XP platforms! The throbber has not been tested on Mozilla versions > 1.5 but should work on those version as well as on future releases, as long as the method of inserting a user defined throbber remains identical. Have fun! Any comments, improvements, bug reports or donations are welcome! "Tomas Herrmann"
